We've just released a firmware update for Flovv and Flovv-e that resolves the two most-reported issues around purging. It's free, firmware-only — no hardware changes, nothing to send in — and it updates over the air, right from the machine: no SD card, no computer.
1. Purges that complete, every time
Some machines occasionally had a purge valve fail to open when there was pressure or vacuum sitting behind it, which could leave a purge incomplete. The valves now work together when opening against a charged or evacuated line, and the cleaning sequence has been rewritten around that behavior. The result: purges fire consistently — every purge, every machine we've tested.
If your machine has shown this symptom, it's the firmware, not your unit. Update and it's gone.
2. Your ISO is now protected automatically
After every spray, Flovv now pulls the tank down to vacuum on its own. The isocyanate side is no longer left exposed between sessions — so if you step away after a job, there's no longer a risk of material curing in the tank. Nothing to remember, nothing to press; it just happens at the end of each spray.
Also in this release
- Rewritten cleaning sequence built around the new valve behavior.
- Purge air-charge is now tunable per machine. The default is right for every machine — leave it alone unless support asks you to change it.
How to update — one minute, on the machine
The update comes over the air; you just start it from the machine. With your Flovv powered on and connected to the internet, open Settings on the touchscreen and tap Update. The machine downloads and installs it on its own — no SD card, no computer, nothing to transfer.
If you've seen either of these symptoms and something still looks off once you've updated, hop into our Discord or message us and we'll sort it out.
